Overview

Beana Laponia is a stylish boutique hotel for adults set in the wilderness north of Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. With only 11 rooms it offers an intimate and friendly atmosphere and a good selection of authentic activities. The huskies play an important part of what the hotel represents, with the theme of the hotel’s decor around the sled dogs. This beautiful location offers a unique experience and will leave you with many lasting memories.

Beana is a Sami word for dog, and Laponia a Latin word for Lapland. These two elements capture what this lovely boutique hotel represents – the beautiful nature and wildlife in this wilderness land. The hotel values a relaxing environment and so offers holidays to adults only, ensuring a calm and tranquil setting for the perfect hideaway in Lappish wilderness.

Our inclusive 4-night package provides a great combination of high quality small group activities, and with free use of toboggans, snowshoes and kick sled to explore the pristine snowy surrounds, you’ll be glad of the sauna facilities which guests can use in the late afternoon to warm up before dinner is served each evening.

Thrilling Activities

There are friendly huskies near the hotel so guests can meet them before venturing out on one of the included husky safaris, starting with a shorter introduction on how to mush your own team of dogs, then a second longer safari on the trail including an outdoor lunch by the camp fire.

Other wonderful activities include a snowmobile safari, visiting a reindeer farm where you meet the herder and listen to stories about their way of life and culture, and an evening snow shoeing trip on the look out for the northern lights while walking through the pristine snowy forest. Also, on one of the evenings enjoy a private sauna, Jacuzzi and outdoor hot tub to warm up after the day’s exertions. There is also a daily sauna available for guests to use between 16.00-18.30 hours, so the perfect opportunity to live like a local, if not only for a few days!

Itinerary

On arrival at Rovaniemi you will be met and transferred (approximately 45 minutes) to Beana Laponia, for a 4-night stay. There may be time in the evening to have a sauna before dinner is served.

During your stay at Beana Laponia you will have free use of toboggans, snowshoes and kicksleds to enjoy your free time at leisure. There are several planned activities included though the order will be advised locally, as these are subject to weather conditions.
